E-Book Reading Quiz @ 11 May 2020 – 1 June 2020
The E-Book Quiz involves the following activities:
- Read an e-book through video
- Answer the quiz about the E-book
Every participant who takes part in the quiz will get an e-certificate. The earliest 10 participants who get the highest marks in the quiz will win prizes.
(The book that we have chosen for E-Book Quiz is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst and illustrated by Ray Cruz. The book is published in 1972 and is an ALA Notable Children’s Book. It has also won a George G. Stone Center Recognition of Merit, a Georgia Children’s Book Award and is a Reading Rainbow book.)
Creative Writing Competition
If you like to write, join the creative writing competition in the section following the quiz. The best 3 pieces of writing for each category (Lower & Upper Form) will be published in the KKHS school magazine and also win prizes and certificates of achievement!
Produce a piece of writing based on the theme of “You just gotta have the bad days so you can love the good days even more” The theme is up to your interpretation!
- A poem (up to 14 lines) OR
- A short story (up to 500 words) OR
- A piece of creative non-fiction (up to 500 words)
Writing must be original and must not be copied from other sources. Plagiarized entries will be disqualified.
Creative Writing submission must be sent by email to [email protected] before the deadline, Monday, June 15th 2020. Files must be sent in Microsoft Word/DOC format. Winners will be notified before 1st August 2020.
